Is my information safe?

Is my information safe?

When you complete a background check through Manymore, you’re sharing personal information.

We understand that — and that’s why it’s essential that you know how your data is handled, and that you feel safe throughout the entire process.

Before we can begin the background check, you must give us permission this is done by giving your consent in the portal.

Consent confirms that:

  • You understand what will be checked
  • You agree that we carry out the check on behalf of the employer

When you give consent, you’ll see:

  • What information will be collected
  • Why it is collected
  • How it will be used

You are in full control of the process and can withdraw your consent at any time.
You’ll always be able to read the full consent declaration before confirming.

Who can see my information?

Access to your data is limited and strictly controlled. Only the following parties have access:

  • The customer who ordered the background check
  • Manymore, which performs the check and quality-assures the information
  • Relevant sources, such as educational institutions or previous employers — only to verify the information you’ve provided

We never share your information with others and only use it for the purpose you’ve consented to.

How do you protect my data?

We comply with the GDPR and Norwegian data protection laws, and handle your information securely and responsibly:

  • Your data is stored encrypted
  • Access is limited to authorized personnel
  • Data is automatically deleted after 12 months (unless legally required to retain it longer)
  • If we contact sources outside the EEA, we use approved security mechanisms

You can trust that your information is treated with respect.

Yes, you can withdraw your consent at any time.

Here’s how:

  1. Send an email to legal@manymore.com
  2. We will stop further processing of your data
  3. Your data will be deleted from our systems
