What does employment verification involve?

Employment verification is about confirming that the candidate has actually held the jobs they have listed, including job title and employment period. This provides the employer with a solid decision-making foundation and supports fair treatment of all applicants.

Purpose

Work experience is often crucial in assessing a candidate. The goal of the verification is to:

• Confirm information stated in the CV and application
• Document previous employment
• Reduce the risk of hiring based on incorrect information

This is done with respect for the candidate and within clear boundaries of what is being checked.

What do we verify?

We contact the previous employers the candidate has listed and ask them to confirm:

• Start and end date of employment
• Job title
• Type of position

If there are discrepancies between the candidate’s information and what the employer confirms, this is documented in the report.

How is it carried out?

1. The candidate submits employment history

• Usually up to 4 positions from the past 10 years
• Includes employer name, job title, period, and contact details

2. We contact the employers

• Standardized requests are sent to ensure clear and consistent responses
• Everything is done with the candidate’s consent

3. We document the replies in the report

• The information is compared with what the candidate provided

What does the candidate need to do?

The candidate must:

• Provide relevant employment history in the portal
• Fill in contact information for the listed employers
• Ensure the information is as accurate and up to date as possible

We handle the communication with the employers and document the results. The candidate doesn’t need to do anything further.

This is not a reference check.
We only verify formal employment details - we do not ask for evaluations or comments on performance.
